The Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation has just issued a decision to sanction defender Dinh Viet Tu of The Cong Viettel for improper behavior towards fans within the framework of V.League 2025-2026.
According to the announcement issued on the afternoon of May 19, player Dinh Viet Tu was fined 15 million VND and suspended from playing for the next 3 matches. This is a disciplinary action issued after the Disciplinary Committee considered the behavior that occurred in round 23 of V.League 2025-2026.
The incident was identified as taking place in the match between Nam Dinh club and The Cong Viettel on May 17, when this defender had an action considered offensive and disrespectful to the audience in the stands. This behavior is considered inappropriate for the standards of professional player behavior.
The Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation emphasized strict handling to ensure deterrence, while preserving the image of the league and the professional football environment. The penalty also caused The Cong Viettel to suffer losses in force in the remaining period of the season.
