Striker Vi Thi Nhu Quynh has returned home after competing in the 33rd SEA Games. According to research, the contract between Vi Thi Nhu Quynh and the Quang Ninh women's team expired on December 31. However, the parties did not move forward to re-signing the contract.
Vi Thi Nhu Quynh still wants to prioritize serving the Quang Ninh women's team if they can ensure the conditions, including the team having to participate in the 2026 National Championship. Unfortunately, Quang Ninh will not be promoted in 2026 due to losing in the final match of the 2025 National A-Class Volleyball Tournament.
In the immediate future, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh will go to Indonesia to play for the Yogya Falcons team on December 20. She will not compete in the first phase of the 2026 National Championship in Vietnam.
Previously, another Vietnamese player, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, played in Indonesia earlier this year but was ineffective and her contract was terminated early.
Striker Vi Thi Nhu Quynh has not made any announcement about the new destination in Vietnam in 2026. However, she has been invited to wear the shirt by some teams but has strictly followed the termination of her contract with Quang Ninh before considering it to ensure the best professional skills and regime.
At the 33rd SEA Games, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh was trusted by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet to officially compete in many important matches. In the final match against the Thai women's team at the 33rd SEA Games, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh competed in all 5 rounds and scored 14 points.
