Thanh Thuy has not returned to Japan
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team ended their journey at the 33rd SEA Games with a silver medal. Although they did not win the gold medal, the players showed their expertise and the highest ability to compete in Thailand recently and were still in good spirits.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team returned home this afternoon (December 16). It is known that Bich Thuy had a direct flight to Japan this morning to join the Okayama SeaGulls club. Meanwhile, the main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy still returned to Vietnam to visit her family for a few days, then returned to Japan and continued to play for Gunma Green Wings.

Thus, the Vietnam women's volleyball team will end their training in 2025 after the 33rd SEA Games. The team members will gather with the club to continue practicing towards the 2026 season.
Thailand praises Vietnam
Despite successfully defending the gold medal at home, the Thai women's volleyball team went through a dramatic final match and struggled with points against Vietnam.
Sharing about this match, Thailand captain Chatchu-on Moksri said: "We made more mistakes in the last match than during practice. Normally, we are only 1-2 points behind, but the whole team is sometimes pulled back to 3-4 points by Vietnam. It is a real pity in many situations. Although they have prepared very well, when entering the actual competition, there are still many mistakes.
Vietnam is improving very quickly. Before, we used to control the game but now they are playing much better. I think Thailand also needs to change, have clear goals and a working process to help the team develop better".
Nhu Quynh goes abroad
According to research, after the 33rd SEA Games, the main striker Vi Thi Nhu Quynh will travel to Indonesia on December 20, thereby starting her first journey abroad in her career. The 23-year-old will play for Yogya Falcons.

Vi Thi Nhu Quynh was born in 2002, with a height of 1m75. She is the type of striker who scores comprehensively when attacking well at the 2nd edge, behind the 3m line with the ability to launch an attack to break the first step.
Since the beginning of 2025, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh has made a breakthrough in her expertise by demonstrating her diverse attacking ability, especially often scoring excellent points behind the 3m line in the club jersey as well as the national team.
At the 33rd SEA Games, Nhu Quynh also shared the task of scoring with her senior Thanh Thuy. In the final match against Thailand, the 23-year-old hitter also had an impressive performance and received a "shower" of compliments.
