Sharing his feelings after winning the championship, Tran Thanh Luc could not hide his joy: "This is the first time I have won the World Cup. I feel extremely happy and emotional".
Previously, Tran Thanh Luc had set a goal this year to win the World Cup championship at least once and enter the top 5 in the world. However, in the first international tournament of the year, he achieved both goals.
With this victory, when asked about his upcoming goal, Tran Thanh Luc shared: "My goal now is to enter the top 3 in the world, and if possible, I want to rise to the top of the rankings".
"Actually, the most worrying moment was when facing Jaspers, the world's number one player. Near the end of the match, I saw him start scoring consecutively. However, I was lucky to do the accurate passes and score the important points. After that, I took an 8-point series and won," Thanh Luc added.
According to Tran Thanh Luc, his mentality in the final against Tayfun Tasdemir was not as tense as in the semi-finals. "I was a little nervous, but I didn't feel too burdened. Because I have overcome Jaspers, I feel more confident. I have also been to the finals and have not won, so I know if I can't win this time, it's just a lack of luck."
