Vietnam has 4 players in the 1/8 round of the Bogota World Cup

Tran Quyet Chien, Tran Duc Minh, Tran Thanh Luc and Chiem Hong Thai all passed the group stage of the 3-cushion carom billiards World Cup Bogota taking place in Colombia.

Of the 5 Vietnamese players participating in the group stage, only Bao Phuong Vinh was eliminated. In the same group as Phuong Vinh, Tran Quyet Chien won the right to continue after the victory over Phuong Vinh and Polychronopoulos. Despite losing to Bury, Quyet Chien is still ranked 2nd in Group D and continues to maintain the record of passing the group stage at the World Cup for the 8th consecutive time.

Snooker Chiem Hong Thai is also an impressive player in the group of Vietnamese players. He won 3 consecutive victories against Pedro Gonzalez, Eddy Merckx and Jean Paul de Bruijn. Chiem Hong Thai achieved an average efficiency of 1.538 points per turn.

Tran Duc Minh achieved an efficiency of 1.652 points per turn. He is the most efficient player in the Vietnam team. Duc Minh started with a defeat to Dick Jaspers but then defeated Cha Myeong-jong and Erick Tellez, finishing the group stage in 2nd place in Group A.

The remaining representative of Vietnam Tran Thanh Luc ranked 2nd in Group F with the result of a draw with Berkay Karakurt, defeating Kang Ja-in and Marco Zanetti. Thanh Luc is the last player from Vietnam to win a ticket to the round of 16.

In the world's top 10, there are 4 players who were unexpectedly eliminated from the group stage, including Martin Horn, Heo Jung-han, Zanetti and Cho Myung-woo.

In round 1/8, Thanh Luc will face Roland Forthomme (belgium), Quyet Chien will meet Jaspers, Hong Thai will play Torbjorn Blomdahl, and Duc Minh will face Karakurt. The quarter-finals will take place immediately after that.
