This year's event marks a historic milestone with the 10th anniversary of IRONmanman's presence in Vietnam, and at the same time setting a record as the largest IRONman 70.3 tournament ever held in Southeast Asia.
The theme of this year's event is " Glorious Decade - Where each finish line is a new beginning", spreading the spirit of perseverance, aspiration to reach out and the pride of global connectivity, the values that have made Vietnam a favorite destination for the international sports community.
In parallel with professional competition events, this year's event week continues to spread the spirit of multi-sporting, with a sport for all ages including endurance with three combined events: 750m swimming, 20km cycling and 5km running.
Younger athletes can also participate in IRONKIDS Vietnam, with the contents of Two Coordinated Sports (Simming - Running) and Three Coordinated Sports (Simming - Cycling - Running) for children from 5 to 15 years old, to encourage children to develop their physical strength.
The Newborns Vietnam Run Out Award - a race for parents and newborns aims to raise public awareness of health care for newborns.
IRONman will continue to be a bustling center, gathering athletes, families and fans. Here, visitors can participate in sports activities and experience high-class services.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that this is the year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025), a meaningful milestone in the process of formation, construction and development of the city.
