In the 3-1 victory of the Vietnamese team against Cambodia in the last round of Group A of the ASEAN Cup 2026 on the evening of August 7, Dinh Bac was the most outstanding player when he scored a double, making a great contribution to helping the team win the group first and reach the semi-finals.
Sharing after the match, the striker born in 2004 admitted that he had experienced a period of playing that did not meet expectations.
Many times I didn't play well, so I looked back at myself, tried to practice and strive in each training session. The two goals today I would like to dedicate to the fans, those who always trust and accompany me," Dinh Bac said.
Besides the joy with his personal performance, the striker of the Vietnamese team affirmed that he does not put much emphasis on goals or personal achievements at the ASEAN Cup 2026.
I don't set personal goals. In the immediate future, the goal of the whole team is the two semi-finals and that is also what I am aiming for," Dinh Bac shared.
With the victory over Cambodia, the Vietnamese team closed the group stage with 10 points after 4 matches, ranked first in Group A and won the right to participate in the semi-finals of the ASEAN Cup 2026. Dinh Bac's double is expected to help the young striker gain more confidence in the remaining journey of the tournament.
