The Vietnam women's volleyball team has a satisfactory force

HOÀI VIỆT |

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has registered 15 players to participate in the 2025 Southeast Asian International Volleyball Championship - SEA V.League 2025.

Has Mr. Kiet chosen the right lineup?

The faces given the opportunity to compete in the 2025 SEA V.League include: Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Nguyen Thi Phuong, Pham Thi Hien, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh, Luu Thi Ly Ly Ly and young player Nguyen Thi Ninh Anh. After receiving a proposal from the coaching staff, the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports decided to assign the Women's Volleyball Team to the tournament.

Looking at the force, fans have seen the squad of players who were registered by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet to compete in the AVC Nations Cup 2025 (to win the championship) and VTV Cup 2025 (to win the runner-up position).

Mr. Kiet once affirmed: "The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will have the opportunity to rotate forces to compete in international missions, through which we will seek out the most suitable professional force".

The fact that he has used and will use a familiar team of players in 3 consecutive international tournaments (AVC Nations Cup, VTV Cup, SEA V.League 2025) shows that the captain of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team is somewhat satisfied with the squad he is using.

General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation - Mr. Le Tri Truong - once expressed the view that the selection of people is completely decided by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and above all, the manager waits for the team to complete the set performance targets.

Rehearsal tournament for the 33rd SEA Games

The 2025 SEA V.League for women will organize 2 rounds of competition with the first round in Thailand (from August 1) and the second round right after that in Ninh Binh (Vietnam). The tournament has 4 strongest women's volleyball teams in Southeast Asia participating: Thailand (reigning champion), Vietnam (reigning runner-up) and Indonesia, Philippines.

Currently, the 4 teams are focusing on their expertise and forces towards competing in the 33rd SEA Games. Therefore, the matches at the 2025 SEA V.League are an opportunity for the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team and the other 3 teams to grasp the strength and tactics of the opponent.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet did not choose a new face or a young player to register in the squad for the 2025 SEA V.League because he was cautious. After the first 2 international missions of 2025, the players who regularly participate in the official list of 14 members of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team are operating well the tactics set by the coaching staff.

No one dares to change at this time. The 2025 SEA V.League is a training session before the 33rd SEA Games. At the same time, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet wants to accumulate experience for his students from the tournament to help them prepare for the 2025 World Championship held in September 2025.

The goal of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team is to reach the final, striving to win the Gold Medal at the 33rd SEA Games. For professionals like coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, the stability of the squad must be put first.

Mr. Kiet has repeatedly affirmed his view that volleyball is a collective sport and the development of a professional plan is based on all players and does not depend on any individual.

That shows that the head coach of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team needs a specific force framework to meet his tactics. Therefore, Mr. Kiet chose 14 or 15 key players to register to compete in consecutive international missions, which is completely understandable.
