LION Championship 11 took place on the evening of December 9 and is the last event in 2023 of the leading professional MMA tournament in Vietnam. The highlight is the 4 championship belt matches in the weight categories of 56kg men's 70kg men's, 84kg men's and 65kg men's.
In the 84kg weight class belt competition, Pham Cong Minh and Tran Quoc Toan brought an eye-catching competition. Cong Minh - who won the world wushu silver medal and won the national championship for 8 consecutive years - overwhelmed his opponent when performing many medium and high-altitude kicks.
In the end, Pham Cong Minh became the champion of the men's 84kg category using technical knockout skills.
In the men's 60kg belt match, Robson De oliveira Soares (red) entered the match confidently, playing close-range and performing the Armbar hand-breaking technique that forced the opponent to signal to stop the match.

In the men's 70kg category, Kamil Michael Nguyen Van (red) dominated the young fighter Ban Van Hoang. He followed the strategy of pulling the opponent to the floor to launch punches.
In the end, the boxer with two lines of Vietnamese - Polish blood Kamil Michael Nguyen Van won the final victory, thereby defending the championship belt left by Tran Quang Loc.
The most anticipated match is the title defense match between the reigning 65kg men's champion who won the bronze medal in the 2018 ASIAD Wushu Than Thu Nghiem Van Y (blue) and the Brazilian artist Felipe Ventzki Negochadle black belt (red).
With the nature of a championship belt match, both fighters have brought out their strengths, showing high concentration. While the Brazilian fighter used his strengths to pull his opponent to the floor, Nghiem Van Y fired a series of precise punches that stunned Felipe Negochadle. However, at 3 minutes and 37 seconds of the 4th round, Negochadle successfully performed a hand-breaking technique that left the Vietnamese fighter unable to resist and forced to lose.
