LPB Ninh Binh is the representative of Vietnamese volleyball to participate in the 2024 Asian Women's Club Championship (AVC Women's Club Championship), starting in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from September 22 to September 29.
Besides captain Bich Tuyen, Luu Thi Hue is one of the faces that receives a lot of expectations. Possessing a height of 1m84 with good jumping power, long arm span, the ability to quickly adapt to modern tactics and playing style..., Luu Thi Hue is considered a talented middle blocker, worthy of succeeding her senior Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa.
However, when her performance was at its peak and she was about to be included in the Vietnam women's volleyball team in 2023, Luu Thi Hue suddenly suffered a ligament injury.
Since then, she has been actively training and recovering from her injury with the hope of soon regaining her best form.
Talking to Lao Dong, Luu Thi Hue said: "For an athlete, when suffering from a torn ligament injury, it takes a long and arduous treatment and recovery process. Currently, my leg is stable but I still feel quite timid and scared. When I go on the field, in addition to focusing on competing, I also have to pay attention to my leg to avoid unfortunate incidents."
In the current squad of LPB Ninh Binh, Luu Thi Hue is one of the players with a lot of experience playing both domestically and internationally.
During 14 years of playing volleyball, Luu Thi Hue has had many impressive achievements from the youth team to the national team such as being the main hitter of the Vietnamese youth team at the age of 15; winning the title of "Best Middle Blocker" at the 2016 Southeast Asian Youth Volleyball Championship at the age of 17; winning the 2016 National Championship with the Industrial and Commercial Bank team, winning the VTV9 - Binh Dien Cup 2016; winning the silver medal with the Vietnamese women's volleyball team at the 30th and 31st SEA Games; winning the 2023 National Volleyball Championship with the LPB Ninh Binh club,...
Therefore, at the 2024 Asian Women's Club Championship, Luu Thi Hue is expected to regain her high form to make her mark.
With the return of the 1998-born player, LPB Ninh Binh will have a very strong supporting squad, including two other players from the Vietnamese team, Nguyen Thi Trinh and Le Thanh Thuy.
"For me, when competing internationally, against strong opponents, players are easily under psychological pressure, which can easily lead to tension, poor ball handling and coordination with teammates. We need to improve many things from now until the tournament.
If given the opportunity to play, I will try my best. With Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen as captain in the team, we will have more confidence to compete with other teams.
LPB Ninh Binh will try to enter the top 4 at the 2024 Asian Women's Club Championship," Luu Thi Hue shared.
Before leaving for Thailand to participate in the Asian tournament, coach Thai Thanh Tung's team will have a short training trip in China. Luu Thi Hue said that the whole team is looking forward to and determined to take advantage of this opportunity to improve their skills, aiming for the goal set for the upcoming Asian tournament.
