Currently, volleyball clubs have stopped professional training so that players can return home to celebrate Tet with their families. For the Thai Binh women's team, coach Tran Van Giap and his colleagues have given detailed instructions to each player to ensure they maintain their physical and professional fitness, and be ready as soon as they return.
The 2025 season is expected to be very difficult for the Thai Binh team as opponents have made large investments in personnel, so competition will be much fiercer.
In the 2024 National Volleyball Championship, Thai Binh and Vietinbank have a more balanced force and better investment than the other two teams, Hanoi and Quang Ninh, so they successfully stayed in the league. However, Thai Binh's force is mainly young players, so their experience and professional ability are not highly appreciated.
However, this will still be the main backbone of the rice hometown team in the 2025 season.
Coach Tran Van Giap said: "We will not add any more domestic players from other teams to the squad in the first phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship. In 2024, the team had a number of young faces competing and showing positive abilities, and this year the team continues to create conditions for young players to play.
Looking at the strength of the 8 women's teams, we know what the chances of Thai Binh women's volleyball are, so above all, the club will focus on each match and strive to stay in the league this season."
Besides young players, Thai Binh women's volleyball team still has high hopes for veterans such as Nguyen Thi Uyen, Pham Thi Diep, Nguyen Thi Huong, Vo Thi Hien, Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai.
With a mix of forces and led by coach Tran Van Giap - a young commander who is always enthusiastic, determined and passionate with his students on the field, Thai Binh is expected to continue to bring exciting matches in the upcoming season.
In the immediate future, Nguyen Thi Uyen and her teammates will participate in the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025, starting in March in Ninh Binh. Although rated lower than other opponents such as LPB Ninh Binh, VTV Binh Dien Long An..., coach Tran Van Giap and his team still consider this a pivotal tournament for the players to gain experience.
"We consider the tournament in Ninh Binh as an opportunity for the team to test their skills in order to adjust the most suitable positions. This is a good opportunity for each player to accumulate more playing ability.
Although the team does not have a strong squad like many other teams, above all, the whole team has a very comfortable and united spirit, aiming for the goal of 2025 which is to compete to the best of our ability," said the head coach of the Thai Binh team.
