From a sports perspective, they share about Lao Dong

Many coaches, players, athletes... after participating in "Sports Perspective" - a program of Lao Dong Newspaper, shared their feelings.

Main attacker Bui Hong Nhung (Vietnam women's volleyball team): A place to share dreams

For me, being a character appearing in the Sports Perspective program of Lao Dong Newspaper is an honor and also a very memorable memory in my journey to pursue professional volleyball.

As a young athlete, I understand that every step in my career requires a lot of effort, from daily training sessions, stressful competitions to times when I have to overcome injuries, pressure and suspicion of myself. Therefore, when my story is concerned, listened to and shared by Lao Dong Newspaper, I feel very respectful.

It is not only an opportunity for me to tell about my journey to volleyball, the training process at the club or the milestone of being called up to the national women's volleyball team..., but also an opportunity for the audience to better understand the life, thoughts and efforts behind the field of an athlete.

I think that sports are not just about victories, medals or shining moments. Behind that are also many silent stories, the perseverance of athletes, the guidance of coaches, the companionship of family, teammates and fans.

Those stories, if told truthfully, will help sports get closer to the audience. For me, Lao Dong Newspaper has done that with seriousness, closeness and humanity in approaching sports figures.

When participating in the Sports Perspective program, I had the opportunity to look back at the 8-year journey attached to volleyball. From a student who was discovered by her homeroom teacher for her sports qualities, brought back to practice by coach Nguyen Huu Ha, to becoming more mature in the colors of the Duc Giang Chemical team and being given the opportunity in the national team, each milestone makes me even more grateful to those who have accompanied me.

Being able to share that story in a long-standing and reputable media newspaper like Lao Dong Newspaper is a motivation for me to continue to try harder.

On the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the first issue of Lao Dong Newspaper (August 14, 1929 - August 14, 2026), I would like to send my best wishes to the leadership, reporters, editors and journalists of Lao Dong Newspaper. Wishing the newspaper to continue to maintain its prestige, professional bravery and always be a close voice to workers, including athletes who are striving every day on the training ground and arena.

I hope that in the coming time, Lao Dong Newspaper will continue to accompany Vietnamese volleyball in particular and Vietnamese sports in general, spreading more beautiful stories, inspiring and adding motivation to young athletes.

In football, fans often only see the results on the field. But behind each match are many stories about the efforts of the coaching staff, players and even those who do silent work. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to recount those things through the Sports Perspective program of Lao Dong Newspaper, so that the audience can better understand the journey that the team has gone through.

There are times when Thanh Hoa faces countless difficulties. The squad is seriously damaged when there are only about 16-17 players capable of playing, while the pressure of achievements is always present. As someone who directly works with the players every day, I understand the sacrifices and efforts that the collective must go through to maintain the fighting spirit.

What I appreciate is that during that period, Lao Dong Newspaper always closely followed the team. Not only reflecting the match results, the reporters also listened to my shares, those of the players and even the staff behind the scenes. I felt the true companionship of a press agency that always wants to bring a full and objective view of sports.

Through the program, I can share more about my work, about professional decisions, the pressures that the coaching staff has to face, as well as the belief in my students. I believe that when fans understand the stories behind the pitch, they will have more sympathy and companionship with the team.

In my opinion, the value of sports journalism lies not only in providing fast news or reflecting scores, but also in the ability to tell stories about people. Lao Dong Newspaper has done that by helping the voice of coaches, players and football people to spread more widely.

On the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of Lao Dong Newspaper, I would like to send my best wishes to the leadership, reporters, editors and journalists. I hope Lao Dong Newspaper will continue to maintain its professional bravery, always accompany Vietnamese sports and continue to be a place for professionals like us to share the most true stories behind each match.

I still remember the time when I was 19-20 years old, when I was still trying to assert myself in youth teams and started to be given opportunities in international tournaments with U23 Vietnam. At that time, reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper not only reported on the match results but also paid attention to the stories behind the field. I had the opportunity to share about the goals, pressures as well as the difficulties of a young player on the path to finding a position in the squad.

Later, when participating in the U23 Southeast Asian Championship, U23 Asian Championship or currently playing in the V.League, I still always receive attention from reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper. What I appreciate is the very close way of doing journalism. You not only ask about expertise or match results but also listen to our thoughts, feelings and things we want to share after each tournament.

That is also the difference of Lao Dong Newspaper. Not only me but many other teammates have the opportunity to confide, to express their thoughts. Stories about the journey of growth, about the challenges in the profession or the desire to contribute are all conveyed truthfully so that fans can better understand the lives of the players.

For a player, recognition from the media is always a great source of encouragement. Being accompanied for many years helps me clearly feel that each milestone in my career is preserved and shared with fans.

On the occasion of the anniversary of the first issue of Lao Dong Newspaper, I wish the journalists and reporters to continue to reap many successes, always accompany Vietnamese sports and continue to be a bridge for the beautiful stories of athletes and players to be spread to a wide range of fans.

Becoming a character in the program "Sports Perspective" of Lao Dong Newspaper is an honor and also a memorable mark for me on my journey to pursue professional volleyball.

In many years of attachment to the stadium, I have always felt the persistent companionship of Lao Dong Newspaper with Vietnamese volleyball. Not only closely following the major tournaments of the national team, Lao Dong Newspaper also pays much attention to the domestic league system, clubs, young faces or even stories behind the stadium lights. This helps the image of Vietnamese volleyball get closer to fans.

As an athlete, I understand that each article, each interview or each film contributes to spreading the value of this sport. In particular, the program "Sports Perspective" not only reflects the competition results but also brings a deeper perspective on the journey, efforts and aspirations of athletes, which are very meaningful. I really appreciate the opportunity to share my own story on the program.

I also hope that in the coming time, Lao Dong Newspaper will continue to accompany Vietnamese volleyball, bringing more quality articles, inspiring stories about athletes, coaches and people who are silently contributing to the development of this sport.

I would like to send my best wishes to the Editorial Board and all reporters, editors and journalists to always be in good health, maintain the fire of the profession and continue to bring quality journalistic works, contributing to spreading the positive values of Vietnamese sports in general and Vietnamese volleyball in particular.

Wishing Lao Dong Newspaper to develop more and more, always be a reliable address for readers and a close companion of athletes on every journey to conquer the peak.
