Articles carrying the confidences of Trade Union officials and workers
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Trade Union of High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks of Hanoi City - shared that he regularly reads Lao Dong Newspaper because of its fast and accurate information, especially highly appreciating articles about the lives of workers and grassroots trade union activities.
These articles show something very commendable, which is the closeness and companionship of the team of reporters towards workers and grassroots trade union officials" - Mr. Thang emphasized.
Mr. Thang said that business trade union officials hope that Lao Dong Newspaper will have more articles sharing experiences in dialogue, negotiation, and signing of collective labor agreements to learn and apply. At the same time, the Newspaper needs to increase typical commendation articles, contributing to spreading the movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" launched by the VGCL.
For union members and workers, Lao Dong Newspaper is both a companion and a place for them to send their thoughts, hopes and trust. The newspaper not only receives many calls from workers reflecting incorrect actions at the grassroots level but also receives their help to complete articles with practical vitality.
Every time they talk to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, many union members and workers send their thoughts and aspirations. Ms. Tran Thi Minh Nguyet, a worker at Mitsui Vietnam Co., Ltd., hopes to have the opportunity to buy social housing for her family to settle down in Hanoi when her income is nearly 20 million VND/month and she has to pay for rent and tuition for her two children. Many other workers also asked the Newspaper to send thanks to the Trade Union organization for the Trade Union Meal program and hoped that this activity would be organized more regularly.
Contributing to enhancing the position of Vietnam Trade Union
Assessing Lao Dong Newspaper, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Thai Thu Xuong affirmed: The Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour always highly appreciates the role of Lao Dong Newspaper in propaganda, information orientation and spreading the image of the Vietnam Trade Union organization. Through propaganda, reflection, and policy analysis articles, the Newspaper has promptly informed officials, union members, workers and society about the Vietnam Trade Union organization, especially innovations in activities to better fulfill the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of union members and workers.
Reality shows that Lao Dong Newspaper not only accurately and promptly reflects the guidelines and policies of the VGCL to the team of officials, union members, and workers nationwide, but also organizes activities bearing the imprint of the Vietnam Trade Union organization, thereby contributing to enhancing the prestige of the organization.
Most recently, the 22nd "Vinh Quang Vietnam" program organized by Lao Dong Newspaper under the direction of the VGCL. After 22 years of organization, the program has spread more and more deeply, not only among workers, civil servants, and laborers but also to all classes of people... To date, Vinh Quang Vietnam has become a reputable brand, contributing to enhancing the position of the Trade Union organization.
With its role, function and responsibility, Lao Dong Newspaper has well implemented the propaganda, deployment, and bringing the Resolution of the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress through articles discovering good practices of units. Along with that is the fact that reporters have learned and implemented many articles about the movement "Good Labor - High Productivity - Good Income" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour... The Newspaper has made effective contributions to bringing the policies of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour into life, so that the Vietnam Trade Union organization can better fulfill its role of representing and caring for union members and workers.
Workers regain faith after "falling into the trap" of working abroad
After a series of days of being immersed in anxiety and deadlock, by mid-August, Mr. T.B. D (42 years old, residing in Phong My commune, Dong Thap province) had regained his light in life. Mr. D told us that he had been enthusiastically supported by Can Tho City functional agencies in receiving reporting procedures; and was likely to receive back the defrauded money when the case was resolved.

For this male worker, the money being scammed is not just a number, it is also sweat, tears, a motorbike to pawn and loans weighing heavily on his shoulders. "I am so happy!" - Mr. D expressed.
Looking back at that difficult journey, Mr. D shared his gratitude to Lao Dong Newspaper - the place that became a solid spiritual support for him in the most panicked times. It was our listening, thorough analysis and resolute encouragement that helped him stop in time, not continuing to transfer more large sums of money to fraudsters.
Previously, in April 2026, when conducting a series of articles about the "hidden corners" of seasonal labor abroad in the Mekong Delta, a group of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters contacted Mr. D, one of the victims of this trap.
On May 19, 2026, the Investigation Police Agency, Can Tho City Police, issued Decisions to prosecute criminal cases, prosecute defendants and execute Arrest Warrants for temporary detention against Nguyen Thi Thu Dong for the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" occurring at Huynh Huong Group Co., Ltd. It is known that through social networking sites Facebook, Tiktok... Thu Dong posted information recruiting workers to go to Korea with a cost of tens of millions of VND, then appropriated it for personal spending purposes.
Through identification images from the police agency, Mr. D confirmed that Thu Dong (owner of the Zalo Quynh Huong account) was the person who received the money and committed to carry out procedures for him to go to Korea. PHONG LINH
Through Lao Dong Newspaper, my family got a Trade Union Shelter.
I am Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, a worker at Ching Luh Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. For me, having a new house is a great joy that my family has been waiting for for a long time.

Previously, my family lived in a dilapidated old house. The income of both husband and wife mainly comes from working as workers and freelancers, so life is still difficult. Wanting to build a new house but saving a large amount of money is not easy. Every time it rains, the whole family is worried because the house is leaking and the foundation is low. Therefore, when Lao Dong Newspaper and the Trade Union announced support for building Trade Union Shelter from the Tam Long Vang Charity Social Fund, I was very happy and touched. I think if it weren't for this support, my family would not know when it would be possible to build a new house.
Since having a new house at the end of 2025, my family's life has become much more stable. I no longer worry every time it rains, and my children also have a more spacious place to live. My husband and I are even more assured to go to work, trying to save money to take care of our family.
I am especially grateful to the Trade Union organization, Lao Dong Newspaper, and the Golden Heart Charity Fund for not only providing financial support but also regularly asking about and encouraging my family during the house construction process. That concern makes me feel that workers are always accompanied and shared when facing difficulties.
This Trade Union Home is the motivation for me to continue to try to work, take care of my family and build a better life. Thanh Vu wrote
