Ninh Hiep market has long been known as one of the largest textile and clothing business hubs in the North. This market not only supplies goods to Hanoi traders but is also a source of wholesale imports from many northern provinces and cities. On peak days, thousands of visitors flock here to trade, creating a bustling trading atmosphere in many areas of the market.
According to previous records, in the days after the Lunar New Year 2026, business activities at the market were quite quiet. The number of customers coming to import goods decreased significantly, and many small traders had to sit and wait for customers.
However, records on March 6-7 (ie January 18-19 of the lunar calendar - the time after the full moon of the first lunar month) show that the trading atmosphere at the market has become more bustling. From early morning, the walkways between rows of stalls are already crowded with people passing by. Many clothing and fabric stores continuously have customers coming to see goods, exchange and import goods.
In the clothing wholesale area, many small traders are busy consulting and packaging goods for traders. Motorbikes carrying goods in and out continuously, creating a much more bustling scene than at the beginning of the year.

Ms. Ngoc Anh - a small trader selling clothes at the market said that in recent days the number of customers has increased significantly. "After the full moon, traders start to return more and more. There are days when the store has to pack goods continuously from morning to noon" - Ms. Ngoc Anh said happily.
According to Ms. Ngoc Anh, many shop owners after a period of market exploration have started to import goods again to prepare for the new sales season.
Mr. Minh Phuc - a wholesaler specializing in lychee at the market also said that the market is gradually recovering. "In recent days, the number of customers has increased more than before. Many familiar customers have returned to pick up goods in large quantities. There is no longer a scene of "waiting for customers" like at the beginning of the month" - Mr. Phuc informed.

Not only small traders in the market, many traders from neighboring provinces also return to import goods. Ms. Minh Trang - an online clothing shop owner in Hanoi said that at this time, she is starting to import new models to sell for spring and summer. "At the beginning of the year, I only import a little to survey. Now retail customers are starting to increase, so I have to go to the market to get more goods," Ms. Trang shared.
According to some small traders, the time after the full moon of the first lunar month is usually when the market starts to become bustling again when retail stores stabilize business operations. Therefore, the increase in the number of traders coming to Ninh Hiep market in recent days is a positive sign for many businesses here.
