Dak Nong’s export products are increasingly focused on improving design and quality, gradually affirming their position in the international market. Currently, Dak Nong’s export enterprises have expanded their market relations to 35 countries and territories.

The scale of Dak Nong's export items is also increasing, helping to increase the province's export turnover. In particular, focusing on key export items such as: Coffee, cashew nuts, pepper, MDF boards, aluminum...

Among them, large and stable markets include Singapore, South Korea, Australia, China, the United States, the Philippines, and Japan. Many businesses are also proactively seeking and expanding to new markets in Africa and the Middle East.

The number of enterprises participating in export in Dak Nong is increasing, with 16 enterprises in operation.

Of these, 12 enterprises are operating stably, including 2 state-owned enterprises, 7 non-state-owned enterprises and 3 foreign-invested enterprises.

In the export turnover of the whole province, foreign-invested enterprises account for more than 60% in value. That is Olam Vietnam Company Limited.

This company is also playing a decisive role in the growth of local export turnover. Next are state-owned enterprises, accounting for nearly 20%. The rest are private enterprises.

Currently, many of the company's products are being officially exported to many markets around the world such as: frozen durian, mango, passion fruit, dried jackfruit, fresh banana leaves...

Sharing about the export story, Director of Lau Kieu Van Company said that in 8 years of participating in the export market, the unit has always sought ways to adapt to every market in the most effective way.

In addition to the traditional market of China for durian and passion fruit products, the company is developing a variety of new product lines to better serve potential markets such as: Korea, India, Middle East...

“Diversifying products and markets is the most effective way for the company to compete better in the context of increasing export competitors. This is also the solution to help the company overcome difficulties and continue to develop,” Ms. Van shared.

Impressive numbers

In 2024, Dak Nong province will make a special mark when export turnover is estimated at 1.045 billion USD, an increase of 18.6% compared to 2023. Of which, coffee accounts for about 28% of the province's total export turnover.

Dak Nong's coffee export markets are mainly Singapore, the US, Germany, Japan, Australia, Spain, Korea, Italy, etc. Of which, Singapore is the largest market, accounting for over 60% of the province's coffee export value.

Along with coffee, Dak Nong's black pepper also accounts for a large proportion of the province's export turnover.

The export turnover of this item reached 90 million USD, an increase of 48.8% over the same period last year. Currently, black pepper is exported to major markets such as: Singapore, China, Australia, Canada, UK, New Zealand.

Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Nong province, Nguyen Ba Ut, said that in the upcoming export structure of the province, priority will be given to increasing the proportion of goods with deep processing and high technology content.

With the group of processed agricultural and forestry products, productivity, quality, added value, market expansion and export product brands will be improved.

Besides maintaining and expanding export market share in traditional markets, Dak Nong will approach large export markets with much room for growth in Asia, Africa, Northern Europe, Eastern Europe and Latin America.

The province also promotes rapid and strong transition to official trade of agricultural products such as pepper, coffee, cashew nuts, etc.

Dak Nong's export turnover in the period of 2021 - 2025 is estimated to reach 4,978 million USD, reaching 80.19% of the plan.
