Gasoline and oil price forecast for next week

Thạch Lam |

It is predicted that gasoline and oil prices in next week's price adjustment session may simultaneously rebound.

At the end of a week of trading, WTI crude oil was at 59.44 USD/barrel last weekend, up to 61.07 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, WTI oil increased by 1.63 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.7% compared to last week. Brent oil was at 64.13 USD/barrel last weekend, up to 65.88 USD/barrel this weekend. Overall last week, Brent oil increased by 1.75 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 2.7% compared to last week.

In the price regulation period last week, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the world gasoline and oil market in this regulation period (from January 15, 2026 - January 21, 2026) is affected by key factors such as: Risk of disruption of oil supply from Iran; slow oil export progress of Venezuela; disruption of oil exploitation activities of Kazakhstan; tensions between the United States and Europe on the Greenland issue; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues... The above factors have caused world gasoline and oil prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on each item.

Regarding the domestic market, a representative of a gasoline and oil business said that it will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may increase.

In the adjustment session last week (January 22, 2026), gasoline prices simultaneously decreased compared to the previous week's price adjustment period. In which, E5 RON 92 gasoline has a price of 18,283 VND/liter (down 93 VND/liter). RON 95-III gasoline has a price of 18,631 VND/liter (down 81 VND/liter).
