According to a survey at 9:25 a.m. on July 17 (Vietnam time), WTI oil price increased by 0.34 USD/barrel (up 0.51%), to 66.72 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 0.25 USD/barrel (up 0.36%), down to 68.77 USD/barrel.
According to experts, at the beginning of the trading session on Thursday, oil prices reversed and increased, thanks to stronger-than-expected economic data from the world's leading oil consuming countries and signs of somewhat easing trade tensions.
Regarding the domestic situation, Mr. Doan Tien Quyet - data analysis expert of VPI, predicted that the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline may decrease by 79 VND to 19,571 VND/liter, while RON 95-III gasoline may decrease by 82 VND to 20,008 VND/liter.
VPI's model predicts retail oil prices this period to increase slightly by 0.3-0.8%, specifically, diesel may increase by 0.3% to VND 18,886/liter, kerosene may increase by 0.8% to VND 18,517/liter, and mazut is forecast to increase by 0.3% to VND 15,604/kg.
VPI forecasts that the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade will continue not to set aside or use the Petroleum and Oil Price Stabilization Fund this period.
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to decrease by about 180 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 180 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 40 VND/liter.
Domestic retail gasoline prices on July 17, 2025 will be applied according to the adjustment session from 3:00 p.m. on July 10 of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In today's adjustment session (September 10), the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, priced at VND 19,659/liter (up VND 214/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price increased compared to the previous adjustment period, priced at VND 20,090/liter (up VND 184/liter).
Prices of oil products fluctuated in different directions. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND18,837/liter (up VND429/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND18,371/liter (up VND239/liter); mazut is priced at VND15,563/kg (down VND244/kg).
