Gasoline price forecast to decrease from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon

It is forecasted that in this afternoon's operating session (July 24), gasoline prices will continue to decrease.

According to a survey at 8:52 a.m. on July 24 (Vietnam time), WTI oil price increased by 0.29 USD/barrel (up 0.44%), to 65.54 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 0.04 USD/barrel (up 0.06%), to 68.69 USD/barrel.

According to analysts, world oil prices fell in the context of trade negotiations being delayed before the deadline.

For the domestic market, Mr. Doan Tien Quyet, data analysis expert of VPI - predicted that the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline may decrease by 160 VND to 19,320 VND/liter, while RON 95-III gasoline may decrease by 162 VND to 19,758 VND/liter.

Meanwhile, VPI's model predicts retail oil prices this period will increase slightly by 0.8-2%. Diesel may increase by 374 VND (2%) to 19,164 VND/liter, kerosene may increase by 1.1% to 18,624 VND/liter, and mazut is forecast to increase by 0.8% to 15,343 VND/kg.

VPI forecasts that the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade will continue not to set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund this period.

A representative of a business enterprise said that gasoline prices will fluctuate according to the world gasoline situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price management period, retail prices of gasoline may have opposite adjustments in the direction of decreasing gasoline prices and increasing oil prices.

In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to decrease by about 170 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 180 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 400 VND/liter.

Domestic retail gasoline prices on July 24, 2025 will be applied according to the adjustment session from 3:00 p.m. on July 17 of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.

In the adjustment session on July 17, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND 19,481/liter (down VND 178/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price decreased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND19,59/liter (down VND165/liter).

Prices of oil products fluctuated in different directions. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND18,799/liter (down VND38/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND18,429/liter (up VND58/liter); mazut is priced at VND15,478/kg (down VND85/kg).
