Just two days after the price adjustment session on March 5, 2026, today gasoline and oil prices continued to be adjusted upwards by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance.
Accordingly, in today's adjustment session on March 7, 2026, gasoline and oil prices simultaneously increased sharply compared to the price adjustment period last week. In which, E5 RON 92 gasoline is priced at 25, 226 VND/liter (up 3, 777 VND/liter). RON 95-III gasoline is priced at 27, 047 VND/liter (up 4, 707 VND/liter).
Diesel oil 0.05S is priced at 30. 239 VND/liter (up 7. 207 VND/liter); kerosene has a new price of 35. 091 VND/liter (up 8. 490 VND/liter); mazut oil 180CST 3.5S is priced at 21,327 VND/kg (up 3,831 VND/kg).
In today's operating period, the regulator does not make provisions or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund - BOG for all petroleum products.
Two days earlier, in the adjustment session on Thursday, March 5, 2026, gasoline and oil prices simultaneously increased sharply compared to the price adjustment period last week. In which, E5 RON 92 gasoline was priced at 21,449 VND/liter (an increase of 1,926 VND/liter). RON 95-III gasoline was priced at 22,340 VND/liter (an increase of 2,189 VND/liter).
Diesel oil 0.05S is priced at 23,037 VND/liter (up 3.758 VND/liter); kerosene has a new price of 26,601 VND/liter (up 7,132 VND/liter); mazut oil 180CST 3.5S is priced at 17,496 VND/kg (up 1,807 VND/kg).
On March 6, 2026, the Government issued Resolution No. 36/NQ-CP on the regular Government meeting in February 2026, which includes content related to the mechanism for managing gasoline and oil prices.
According to the Resolution, the Government agrees to let the Ministry of Industry and Trade preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance to adjust gasoline and oil prices when the base price of one of the commonly consumed gasoline and oil items on the market increases by 7% or more compared to the base price of the immediately preceding operating period. After this increase occurs, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will implement price management and announce the base price of gasoline and oil according to regulations.
In case the base price of gasoline and oil increases by less than 7% compared to the previous operating period, the management of gasoline and oil prices will continue to be carried out periodically on Thursdays every week, according to the provisions of Clause 11, Article 1 of Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP of the Government.
According to current regulations, based on the data of factors constituting the base price of gasoline and oil and the opinions participating in price management of the Ministry of Finance sent in writing before 12:00 on the operating day, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will announce the base price and retail price of gasoline and oil.
