On January 15, according to a source from Lao Dong Newspaper, the People's Committee of Son La province has just issued a decision on the establishment of the Steering Committee for Data of Son La province, in order to implement policies, strategies and solutions to develop data to serve comprehensive digital transformation in the province.
According to the decision, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Viet is the Head of the Steering Committee; Deputy Heads include Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Director of the Provincial Police and Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
The Steering Committee has the participation of leaders of many departments, branches, judicial, financial, military, press and related units.
The Steering Committee has the task of researching and proposing to the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directions and solutions on building, developing, integrating, synchronizing, sharing and exploiting data; ensuring effective connection between the province's database and national and specialized databases.
At the same time, the Steering Committee helps the Provincial People's Committee direct, urge, and inspect the implementation of goals and tasks related to data in the area.
Son La Provincial Police is assigned to be the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee, responsible for advising, coordinating activities and proposing the establishment of a Working Group when necessary.
