On the afternoon of June 28, the Ceremony to announce the Decision on the organization and officers of the Provincial and Municipal Public Security took place with the participation of senior leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, representatives of central agencies, and leaders of local public security. The ceremony was chaired by General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security.
At Lam Dong bridge, there were comrades Dinh Van Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vu Quang Lam - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, along with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and leaders of the Public Security of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, and Dak Nong provinces.
At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the Decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the organization of the provincial-level police apparatus; the Decision of the Minister of Public Security to transfer the status quo of the provincial-level police force. At the same time, the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on personnel work for provincial-level police leaders was announced.
In which, there is a decision to appoint Colonel Truong Minh Duong - Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police to the position of Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police (new).
With extensive experience and leadership capacity, Colonel Truong Minh Duong was trusted by the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to be assigned the responsibility of managing the public security force in the largest area in the country after the merger, including the three provinces of Lam Dong, Dak Nong and Binh Thuan.
This decision is not only a worthy recognition but also puts great expectations on the role of Lam Dong Police in ensuring security and order in the new period.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized the requirement to "run and queue at the same time" in the context of only three days left, the new organizational model will officially come into operation. For Lam Dong Police, the immediate task is to complete the organizational apparatus, perfect the Party Committee, and ensure smooth operation from July 1, 2025.
At the same time, the provincial police force needs to proactively provide information to people about head office addresses, news reception points, crime reporting and handling administrative procedures, to avoid interruptions in serving the people.
Minister Luong Tam Quang especially noted that local police, including Lam Dong, need to strengthen internal solidarity, tighten discipline and order and strictly implement public ethics.
Lam Dong Police are required to proactively develop a plan to reorganize the Party in sync with the Police apparatus. At the same time, it is necessary to closely coordinate with local authorities to implement Project 06, contributing to modernizing administrative work and serving people more effectively.
In the context of the merger, Lam Dong Provincial Police pledged not to let any negligence, even the smallest, occur during the conversion process. The police force will proactively prevent and strictly handle acts of taking advantage of the situation to cause instability, ensuring absolute security and safety in the area.
