On August 22, in Hanoi, the Steering Committee summarized a number of theoretical and practical issues about socialist-oriented innovation over the past 40 years in Vietnam (Steering Committee Summarized 40 Years of Đổi mới) held its fourth Session. General Secretary and President To Lam, Head of the Steering Committee to Summarize 40 Years of Innovation, chaired the meeting, according to VNA.
Also attending the meeting were Politburo members: Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Luong Cuong; Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang.
Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that the Report summarizing 40 years of Đổi mới is an important input for the development of draft documents to be submitted to the 14th Party Congress, of which Political Report is the central report.
Developing the Draft Report must be done urgently and scientifically with a huge investment of effort and intelligence in order to be able to promptly filter it into the content of the documents of the 14th Party Congress.
The General Secretary and President highly appreciated the summarized and systematic content with outstanding results: The system has clarified the theoretical development of our Party on socialist-oriented innovation, building and protecting the socialist Fatherland through 40 years of Đổi mới.
