On August 7, Politburo member and General Secretary of the Central Committee Lương Cường had a working session with the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF).
Attending the working session were Đỗ Văn Chiến, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the VFF; Nguyễn Đình Khang, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Committee of the VFF, and Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
Based on the opinions discussed during the working session, Chairman of the Central Committee of the VFF Đỗ Văn Chiến stated that it is necessary to have a mechanism to promote the role of people's supervision in order to implement the spirit of Resolution 13 of the Party Congress: "The Party leads, the State manages, the VFF and other political-social organizations are the core to enable the people to be in charge."
According to Chairman Đỗ Văn Chiến, in order to ensure the Party's leadership, the VFF Party Committee wishes that the annual inspection plan of the Party Central Committee Secretariat include the inspection of party organizations and party committees directly under the Central Committee regarding the implementation of the Party Central Committee's resolutions, the Politburo's resolutions, and the Secretariat's conclusions related to mass mobilization work.
Additionally, the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee will assign the VFF Party Committee to conduct annual supervision on 2-3 topics related to the rights and legitimate interests of the people.
The results of the supervision will help the VFF to summarize and report to the Party Central Committee Secretariat and the Politburo on the situation of the people at the time of the supervision.
In conclusion, General Secretary Lương Cường emphasized that the VFF Party Committee has built, united, and effectively implemented the motto "Think sincerely, speak sincerely, act sincerely, achieve sincerely, and benefit the people sincerely."
General Secretary Lương Cường requested that in the coming time, the VFF Party Committee must always grasp the important position and role of the VFF, continue to innovate its leadership and direction methods, and strive to maintain and promote its strengths while overcoming its shortcomings and limitations.
From there, the VFF Party Committee must grasp the situation, focus on leadership and direction, and do better in educating and mobilizing the people to implement the Party's lines and the State's policies and laws.
Regarding the content of Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo, General Secretary Lương Cường noted that the Party Congress is a wide-ranging political activity within the Party and among the people, primarily among Party cadres and members.
Therefore, the work of propaganda must be unified in terms of awareness from the Central Committee to localities. At the same time, it is necessary to focus on the content of the Party Congress documents and the personnel work of the 14th Party Congress.
General Secretary Lương Cường requested that the VFF Party Committee continue to promote socialist democracy, propose practical solutions to improve the quality of supervision and social criticism, and continue to innovate its operational methods to promote the role of the VFF in coordination and unity among its members, especially focusing on consolidating and improving the quality of the VFF's apparatus at all levels.
General Secretary Lương Cường also requested that the VFF Party Committee continue to care for the material and spiritual lives of Party cadres, officials, employees, and laborers in the Party's agencies.
