Senior Colonel rank promotion for 31 officers
On June 18, the Party Committee and Military Command (CHQS) of Quang Ngai province organized a Conference to announce and award decisions on promotion and salary increase for officers and professional soldiers in the 2nd phase of 2026.
According to the decisions of the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 5, phase 2 of 2026, the entire provincial armed forces have 45 officers promoted to military ranks and increased salaries. In which, 31 officers were promoted from Lieutenant Colonel to Senior Colonel; 14 comrades were increased salaries for officers and professional soldiers.
33 officers promoted to Senior Colonel
On June 17, the Military Party Committee of Phu Tho province organized the awarding of decisions to promote the rank of Senior Colonel in 2026.
The conference awarded decisions to promote the rank of Senior Colonel and raise the salary to Lieutenant Colonel for 47 officers; of which 33 officers were promoted to military ranks, and 14 officers were raised in salary.
Ho Chi Minh City Command awards decisions on military rank promotion and salary increase to management officials
On June 17, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Military Party Committee held a conference to announce and award decisions on promotion and salary increase for officers and professional soldiers under the management of cadres in the second phase of 2026.
The conference announced decisions on personnel work for 94 officers and professional soldiers under management.
Among them, 54 comrades were promoted to military ranks from Lieutenant Colonel to Senior Colonel; 7 comrades were promoted to military ranks ahead of schedule from Lieutenant Colonel to Senior Colonel; 29 comrades were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (including 27 comrades who were promoted for the 1st time and 2 comrades who were promoted for the 2nd time); 3 comrades were promoted to salary ahead of schedule and 1 comrade was promoted to professional soldier salary.

On June 17, the Military Party Committee of Lai Chau province held a Conference to announce and award decisions on promotion and salary increase for officers in 2026.
According to the decisions of the Ministry of National Defense, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Command of Military Region 2, and the Provincial Military Command, 12 officers were promoted to military ranks and increased salaries; of which 7 officers were awarded decisions to be promoted from Lieutenant Colonel to Senior Colonel and the first promotion to Lieutenant Colonel level for 5 officers. In particular, in this phase, 2 officers were promoted to military ranks ahead of schedule.

On June 15, Song Trang Border Guard Station (Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard Command) held a conference to hand over the position of Station Chief to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Minh.
Previously, the Border Guard Command decided to transfer Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Toan - Commander of Song Trang Border Guard Station, to work and hold the position of Commander of Chang Riec Border Gate Border Guard Station; appointed Senior Colonel Vu Van Minh - Commander of Chang Riec Border Gate Border Guard Station, to hold the position of Commander of Song Trang Border Guard Station.

Military Region 4 awards decisions on personnel work
On June 16, at Military School of Military Region 4, Military Region 4 organized a conference to announce and award decisions on personnel work.
On June 15, 2026, the Minister of National Defense signed a decision to promote the rank of Senior Colonel for 195 comrades; Political Commissar of Military Region signed a decision to raise the salary to Lieutenant Colonel for 192 comrades cadres of Military Region 4.
Among the 195 comrades promoted to the rank of Senior Colonel, 106 comrades are Commanders of the Commune-level Military Command; in addition, 47 Commanders have been promoted from the rank of Major to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel; 5 comrades were proposed to be promoted to the rank of Senior Colonel.
