3 Army Senior Lieutenant Generals receive additional tasks

3 army generals Nguyen Truong Thang, Phung Si Tan and Le Quang Minh received new assignments.

Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung - Head of the National Steering Committee for overcoming the consequences of bombs, mines and chemical toxins after the war in Vietnam (Steering Committee) has just signed Decision No. 55/QD-BCĐKPBMHH approving the list of members of the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee.

According to the decision, the Head of the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee is Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang - Deputy Minister of National Defense, Standing Member of the Steering Committee.

The Standing Deputy Heads of Agencies include: Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan - Member of the Steering Committee; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Le Cong Thanh - Member of the Steering Committee; Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong - Member of the Steering Committee; Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA); Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh - Deputy Head of the General Department of Politics of the VPA.

Members of the Standing Agency in the Army include: Major General Duong Minh Hai - Director of the Department of Military Science (Standing Member); Major General Tran Trung Hoa - Commander of the Engineering Corps; Major General Nguyen Dinh Hien - Commander of the Chemical Corps; Lieutenant General Vu Thanh Van - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs; Colonel Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance; Colonel Bui Yen Tinh - Deputy Director of the Operations Department, General Staff; Colonel Do Duy Chinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Propaganda and Training, General Department of Politics; Colonel Do Quyet Khoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Military Security Protection, General Department of Politics; Colonel Ngo Thi Le - Deputy Director of the Department of Social Policy, General Department of Politics.

Members of the Standing Agency outside the Army are leaders of departments and divisions under agencies including: Director of the Department of Science and Education - Culture (Government Office) Nguyen Cuu Duc; Deputy Director of the Department of Environment (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) Le Hoai Nam; Deputy Director of the Department of Social Protection (Ministry of Health) Pham Thi Hai Ha; Deputy Director of the Department of National Defense, Security, and Special Affairs (Ministry of Finance) Truong Vinh Hien; Lieutenant Colonel Do Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Security (Ministry of Public Security).

Secretary of the Standing Agency: Colonel Tran Trong Hieu - Assistant of the General Department of Security, Office of the Ministry of National Defense.

The Steering Committee has the task of researching and proposing to the Prime Minister directions, tasks and solutions to solve important inter-sectoral issues, and solutions to mobilize domestic and foreign resources to quickly overcome the consequences of bombs, mines and chemical toxins after the war in Vietnam.

Helping the Prime Minister direct, coordinate, and urge ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government-attached agencies, and People's Committees of provinces and cities in implementing important inter-sectoral issues in implementing programs and plans on overcoming the consequences of bombs, mines, and chemical toxins after the war in Vietnam.
