During his working trip to An Giang, on March 20, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh had a working session with 3 southwestern provinces including An Giang, Dong Thap and Ca Mau on the situation of production and business, construction investment, public investment disbursement, import-export and difficulties of the provinces... to aim for the goal of achieving a growth rate of 8% or more with the whole country.

After listening to the leaders of the three provinces report on issues related to organizational arrangement, implementation of key projects and disbursement of public investment capital; development of social housing; elimination of temporary houses, dilapidated houses... and representatives of the leaders of the ministries: Finance, Construction, Agriculture and Environment, Industry and Trade, Culture, Sports and Tourism participated in the discussion and clarified related issues, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh assessed that the localities have closely followed, carefully prepared and seriously for many tasks.
The Deputy Prime Minister especially acknowledged and commended the efforts of the provinces in implementing the Government's resolutions in developing the local socio-economy.

However, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, to achieve the growth target in 2025, the provinces must be determined to strive, while reviewing the growth target; it is necessary to assign responsibilities, check, and remove difficulties. In particular, regarding key projects and public investment disbursement, it must be completed in March 2025.
Regarding the work of eliminating temporary houses, continue to focus on directing, proactively mobilizing social resources, and set a basic goal of completing on schedule. Regarding administrative procedure reform, improving competitiveness at the provincial level.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the three provinces try to create a good environment to attract investment. In the immediate future, in 2025, it is necessary to reduce at least 30% of the time for handling administrative procedures; reduce at least 30% of business costs (compliance costs); create the most favorable conditions for people and businesses.

Regarding the implementation of Resolution 18, Conclusion No. 126-KL/TW, Conclusion 127-KL/TW on the arrangement of the apparatus of the political system, the Deputy Prime Minister assessed that in the first step, all three provinces have done well, and in the coming time, continue to thoroughly grasp and reorganize the apparatus, develop a project to reorganize at the commune level, and manage public assets well when reorganizing.
At the end of the conference, the Deputy Prime Minister hoped that the three provinces would make efforts in implementation, aiming to work with the whole country in 2025 to achieve the growth target of 8% or more, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party resolutions of the provinces and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
