On March 25, in Can Tho, the State Bank of Vietnam held a conference to announce the Decision to establish and launch the State Bank of Vietnam in the region 14; Conference on Promoting Bank Credit to contribute to regional economic growth 14.
The conference was co-chaired by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Party Committee Secretary, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Mr. Do Thanh Binh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee; Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee.

Implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 6th Central Conference of the 12th tenure on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently, the SBV has recognized this as an important and urgent political task and thoroughly grasped the spirit of urgency, made efforts to implement it resolutely and effectively with the highest political determination in the entire system.
The reorganization of 63 SBV branches in provinces and cities into 15 regional SBVs will ensure state management, payment activities, monetary security, and treasury for the banking system. Of which, the State Bank of Vietnam in Region 14 includes 5 provinces: Can Tho, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Vinh Long, headquartered in Can Tho.
On February 24, 2025, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam signed decisions to appoint the Director and Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 14, effective from March 1, 2025. Accordingly, Mr. Tran Quoc Ha, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Can Tho City Branch, was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 14 Branch and assigned the Acting Director.

The Deputy Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 14 include Mr. Ly Nhat Truong; Tran Van Duong; Le Thanh Tien and Ho Canh Liem.
