On the afternoon of June 7, Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Sonexay Siphandone arrived in Hanoi, beginning an official visit to Vietnam and attending the third ASEAN Futures Forum (AFF) from June 7-9, at the invitation of Politburo Member, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Le Minh Hung.
Welcoming the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were: Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Finance Ngo Van Tuan; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van.
Accompanying Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on the official visit to Vietnam and attending AFF 2026 are: Ms. Vandara Siphandone, First Lady; Members of the Politburo of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee: Thongsalith Mangnomek, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education and Sports; Khamlieng Outhakaysone, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense; Secretaries of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party: Minister of Public Security Vanthong Kongmany and Governor of the State Bank Bounkham Vorachit.
The delegation also included members of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party: Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Santiphab Phomvihane, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Chairman of the Lao-Vietnam Cooperation Committee; Bouakhong Nammavong, Minister, Chairman of the Government Office; Baykham Khattiya, Minister of Health; Suanesavanh Vignaket, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism; Phosay Sayasone, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare; Leklai Sivilay, Minister of Public Works and Transport; Malaithong Kommasith, Minister of Industry and Trade; Linkham Douangsavanh, Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Santisouk Simmalavong, Minister of Technology and Communications.
