On the afternoon of June 7, Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao arrived in Hanoi, beginning an official visit to Vietnam and attending the third ASEAN Futures Forum (AFF) from June 7-10, at the invitation of Politburo Member, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Le Minh Hung.
Welcoming the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were: Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van; Vietnamese Ambassador to Timor Leste Pham Binh Dam. On the Timor Leste side were Timor Leste Ambassador to Vietnam Joao Pereira.
Accompanying Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao on an official visit to Vietnam and attending AFF 2026 are: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Coordination for Economic Affairs and Minister of Tourism and Environment Francisco Kalbuady Lay; Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Coordination for Social Affairs and Minister for Rural Development and Community Housing Mariano Asanami Sabino; Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Bendito dos Santos Freitas; Minister of Education Dulce de Jesus Soares; Minister of Trade and Industry Philip Nino Pereira; Deputy Minister in charge of ASEAN Affairs, Head of ASEAN SOM of Timor Leste, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Milena Maria da Costa Rangel; Secretary of State in charge of Social Communications Expedito Parrot Dias Ximenes; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste to Vietnam Joao Pereira.
