This morning (January 23) in Hanoi, the Party Central Office held a ceremony to announce the President's Decision and award the Ho Chi Minh Medal to Mr. Dinh The Huynh - former member of the Politburo, former Standing member of the Secretariat, according to VOV.
Attending the event were General Secretary To Lam and Party Central Committee Secretary, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc.
At the ceremony, the representative of the Party Central Office announced Decision No. 32/QD-CTN, dated January 3, 2025 of the President on awarding the Ho Chi Minh Medal to Mr. Dinh The Huynh - former member of the Politburo, former Standing member of the Secretariat, for his great and outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam awarded the Ho Chi Minh Medal to Mr. Dinh The Huynh.
Congratulating Mr. Dinh The Huynh, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that this is the recognition of the Party, State and people for Mr. Dinh The Huynh's great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Since the age of 18, Mr. Dinh The Huynh joined the army and fought directly on the Quang Tri battlefield. At the age of 21, he was honored to be admitted to the Party and participated in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign. After the country was unified, he participated in propaganda work and was sent by the Party and State to study at Moscow State University.
Former Politburo member, former Standing member of the Secretariat Dinh The Huynh has held many important positions in the Party and State such as Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Editor-in-Chief, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper; President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Member of the Party Central Committee of the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th terms; Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee of the 11th, 12th terms; Member of the Politburo, Standing member of the Secretariat of the 12th term.
General Secretary To Lam wished Mr. Dinh The Huynh and his family a new year of good health, peace and prosperity; and continued interest and contribution to the cause of national construction and development.
Expressing his emotion and honor at being recognized by the Party and State and awarded the Ho Chi Minh Medal, Mr. Dinh The Huynh expressed his deep gratitude to General Secretary To Lam, and at the same time thanked the Party cells, the Party Committee in the army, the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Party Committee of the Central Propaganda Department, the Party Committee of the Central Party Office, the Party Committee of the Central Agencies for educating, training, wholeheartedly supporting, cooperating and helping him to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party and State.
