Vietnam's economy in 2024 has achieved many impressive achievements, affirming the country's position in the region. Despite international economic fluctuations, Vietnam's GDP grew by about 7%, among the highest in Southeast Asia, inflation was controlled below 4%, and exports increased by 13.6%, reaching a surplus of nearly 25 billion USD.
In 2025, the Vietnamese economy is expected to record fundamental changes in growth momentum, opening a period of strong fluctuations. The National Assembly of Vietnam has approved a GDP growth target for 2025 of about 6.5% - 7%, and strived to reach 7.5%.
