Nguyen Thi Huong won 5 Gold Medals in canoeing at the 31st SEA Games held in 2022 in Vietnam.
She then won 3 Gold Medals with the Traditional Boat Team at the 32nd SEA Games. The achievements show that rower Nguyen Thi Huong has accumulated experience and achieved significant results in her career in the SEA Games arena. However, the Olympic female player of the Vietnamese canoeing team did not want to miss the opportunity to achieve the highest result in Thailand this year.
Because she maintained a stable performance and won many medals at international competitions in 2025. Coach Luu Van Hoan said that the tactics and expertise of the canoeing team are built to ensure that each event tries to achieve good results, but the canoeing teams in the area also have high-level athletes competing.
In the actual competition, we really hope that they will have the highest performance, Mr. Luu Van Hoan added. Before the 33rd SEA Games, Nguyen Thi Huong won the 2025 Asian Silver Medal in the C2 500m double boat event. At the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship, Nguyen Thi Huong won the Gold Medal in the 200m C2 double boat event.
Among the above achievements, Nguyen Thi Huong competed well with her teammate Diep Thi Huong to bring the medal result for the Vietnam Canoeing Team. On the Thai team now, the two players continue to keep in touch to find a chance to break away. Nguyen Thi Huong believes that the first thing to do is to qualify for the next round to take into account the opportunities to compete for medals in the final round.
