Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Vietbank) has just coordinated with City International Hospital, Gia An 115 Hospital and Ho Chi Minh City Humanitarian Blood Donation Center to organize the "Vietbank Pink Month" program. Along with activities in Hanoi, Da Nang and Can Tho, this year's program recorded nearly 300 Vietbank employees successfully donating blood.
With the message "From heart to heart", the program is implemented from September 12 to September 17 in many business centers across the country, especially in Hanoi, Da Nang, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City. This is one of the community activities maintained annually by Vietbank, creating opportunities for staff to directly contribute with practical gestures to the community.
At Vietbank Headquarters, nearly 250 volunteers who are the Board of Directors and staff have registered to participate. After the health examination and screening process, 209 people qualified to donate blood received a total of 73 liters of blood.
Previously, on September 12, 25 Vietbank officials and employees successfully donated blood at Can Tho City Hematology - Blood Transfusion Hospital. On September 15, in Hanoi, 16 blood donations were recorded at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. In Da Nang, 26 officials and employees participated at Da Nang Oncology Hospital. In general, in 4 areas, the program recorded 276 successful blood donations.
In addition to the response of employees, "Vietbank Pink Month" also received support from the Bank's Board of Directors. Mr. Pham Linh - Deputy General Director in charge of Vietbank's Operations participated in blood donation with staff, contributing to encouraging the spirit of proactive sharing throughout the system.
According to Mr. Pham Linh, the demand for blood for emergency and treatment is still high. Expanding the program to 4 business centers helps increase the ability to contribute to blood reserves, while encouraging staff to maintain the habit of voluntary blood donation.
This year, the program is being implemented in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Hanoi and Da Nang. The number of officials and employees registering to participate continues to increase. We expect voluntary blood donation to become a cultural beauty that will be maintained for a long time at Vietbank," Mr. Pham Linh shared.
Not only responding to the voluntary blood donation movement, throughout 20 years of formation and development, Vietbank has actively implemented many social security programs, targeting groups of subjects and localities with many difficulties. Vietbank also accompanies localities in improving infrastructure and living conditions, typically building rural traffic bridges in the Mekong Delta provinces and supporting clean water filtration systems for schools.
In the coming time, Vietbank will continue to maintain and expand the scale of community activities, prioritizing practical programs that meet practical needs and create long-term value.
