Sharing with reporters, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Hang (Cau Giay ward, Hanoi) said that she took advantage of her day off to buy gold in small quantities.

According to Ms. Hang, buying gold at this time does not stem from expectations of strong price increases but is proactive in managing personal finances.
Mr. Tran Van Tuan (Nghia Do ward) was also present at the gold shop during the holidays. After about 40 - 50 minutes of waiting, he completed the transaction to buy 2 taels of plain round gold rings. "I choose gold rings because they are easy to buy and easy to sell when needed. Each time I only buy a little, considering it as gradual savings, not putting money into one go," he said.
Mr. Tuan added that choosing to buy gold on holidays is mainly due to convenience in terms of time. "In normal days, I am busy so I cannot go. Today it is more crowded than usual but still within acceptable levels, waiting for a while and it will be my turn" - he said.
Recorded further at Tran Nhan Tong street (Hai Ba Trung ward), Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai (Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi) said that her purpose of buying gold is related to personal needs in the coming time. "I just bought 1 chi of gold rings and was returned immediately, mainly to prepare for some upcoming family matters. Today I have time so I went to buy it right away" - she shared.
According to Ms. Mai, transactions at the store took place quite smoothly despite the large number of customers. "I had to wait about 45 minutes, but when it was my turn, I completed the procedures quickly, and there was gold immediately, so I didn't feel too inconvenient" - she said.
