On May 3rd, according to information from the An Giang Provincial Department of Tourism, the results of tourism activities during the April 30th and May 1st holidays (from April 30th to May 3rd, 2026), the province is estimated to welcome more than 670,000 tourist arrivals, an increase of 6.7% over the same period. Of which, international tourists are more than 39,000 arrivals, an increase of 39% over the same period; domestic tourists are more than 631,000 arrivals, an increase of 14.8% over the same period. Total tourism revenue reached 1,252 billion VND, an increase of 26.9% over the same period.
Phu Quoc special zone alone is estimated to welcome more than 164,000 visitors, an increase of 9% over the same period; of which, international visitors are more than 38,800, an increase of 44.2% over the same period; overnight visitors are more than 72,000, an increase of 27.9% over the same period.
According to the Department of Tourism, this year's holiday, civil servants, public employees and workers have many days off, which is a favorable condition to visit and travel with relatives, family, and friends.

According to the Department of Tourism's assessment, in general, the preparation for serving tourists during the holidays has been very well prepared by localities and tourism service business units. The Tourism sector has directed localities and businesses to prepare the best conditions to serve tourists, service products have been consolidated and renewed, and some new products have been put into operation; localities and tourism businesses have organized events and entertainment activities to serve tourists to ensure safety.
State management of tourism in the area is concerned, key tourist areas have proactively coordinated with relevant agencies and units to strengthen inspection and supervision of compliance with legal regulations on: ensuring service quality, food safety and hygiene, regulations on price registration, service price listing... especially tourist areas, attractions, entertainment areas, accommodation establishments and tourist transport vehicles before, during and after the holidays.
Ensure service quality, not to have price increases, price squeezing, and harassment of tourists that negatively affect the tourism image of the locality; ensure order and safety at stops, parking and vehicle parking to serve tourists.
