Two leading K-pop groups BTS and Blackpink continue to make their mark in the Japanese market.

Japanese songs by BTS and Blackpink were officially awarded platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) thanks to their impressive streaming achievements.

According to the latest announcement from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, the Japanese song Let Go by BTS and the Japanese version of As If It's Your Last performed by Blackpink have achieved platinum certification in Japan.

According to RIAJ's streaming certification system, a song will be certified silver when reaching 30 million streams, gold at 50 million streams and platinum when exceeding 100 million streams. Both songs of BTS and Blackpink have officially surpassed 100 million streams in the Japanese market.

Let Go" is a Japanese song released by BTS in 2018. The song quickly received love from fans thanks to its emotional melody and lyrics about separation and maturity in love. This is also one of the most prominent Japanese songs in the career of this global group.

Meanwhile, the Japanese version of "As If It's Your Last" was released by Blackpink after the resounding success of the original in 2017. The song possesses a vibrant, catchy melody and personal performance style - factors that helped Blackpink quickly expand their influence in many international markets, including Japan.

The simultaneous receipt of platinum certification from RIAJ continues to show the sustainable appeal of BTS and Blackpink in the world's second largest music market. For many years, both groups have maintained a large fan base in Japan through Japanese albums, large-scale tours and many international promotional activities.

Not only dominating Korean charts, BTS and Blackpink also continuously achieved success on many global streaming platforms, becoming typical representatives of the K-pop wave in the international market.
