To maintain her health, the female artist maintains a regular lifestyle, eats at fixed times and adheres to a menu suitable for the elderly. Previously, she also said that her children often visited and welcomed her home on holidays, Tet or special days, but she still wanted to continue living at the nursing home because she felt secure and had many colleagues to support her.
Besides retiring, Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien still maintains connection with audiences through her personal YouTube channel, where she shares her daily life and familiar ancient songs. As of the morning of July 24, the channel currently attracts more than 129,000 subscribers with many videos achieving high views.
Recently, the female artist also attracted attention when speaking out after controversies related to the family of late NSƯT Vu Linh. She said that she had lost sleep many nights because of being attacked on social networks after visiting artists Hong Nhung and Hong Phuong.
According to Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien, the visit was completely due to personal feelings, without being influenced or instructed by anyone. She also denied information that she was on one side in the conflicts of the family of the late artist Vu Linh.
Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien's real name is Lam Thi Hien, born in 1945 in Ca Mau. She followed the troupe from the age of 14, became famous very early and was known as the "first martial artist" of Cai Luong stage with many classic roles such as Trieu Thi Trinh in "Nhuy Kieu General" or Bui Thi Xuan in "Nhu tuong Co Dao".
