At the press conference, Ms. Julia Morley CBE - President cum CEO of Miss World Organization shared about the significance of Vietnam hosting Miss World for the 73rd time, as well as the expectations for the special season celebrating the 75th anniversary of Miss World.
Representatives of the Organizing Committee also informed about the schedule of Miss World 73rd, including introducing outstanding activities and events taking place in Hai Phong City; announcing the official voting rules of the contest.
The highlight of the program is the sash (band) handover ceremony for the contestants, officially marking the journey of competition of international representatives at Miss World 2026. Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska and Ms. Pham Kim Dung - President of Miss World Vietnam, General Director of Sen Vang Company directly handed over the sashes to the contestants and sent wishes to the beauties before entering the competitions.
In Hai Phong, from August 13-20, contestants continue to participate in many activities, including Talent, Sports, Chef Beauty and Top Model competitions. Notably, the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest XVI fashion program is scheduled to take place on August 18 at Dragon Beach, belonging to Doi Rong International Tourist Area.
Speaking to welcome, Mr. Pham Minh Hieu, General Director of Van Huong Investment and Tourism Joint Stock Company, Investor of Doi Rong International Tourist Area (Dragon Ocean) project, affirmed that the selection of Doi Rong International Tourist Area as the venue for the official series of activities of the contest is not only an opportunity for Doi Rong International Tourist Area to accompany one of the world's leading prestigious beauty contests, but also an opportunity for Hai Phong City to introduce to international friends the image of a dynamic, modern, and unique port city; a Do Son with great potential and increasingly attractive on the Vietnam and international tourism map.
With the theme "Vietnam - Timeless Charm - Vietnam - Endless Beauty", the 73rd Miss World in Vietnam is a journey to honor the eternal beauty of the country, where nature, culture and people create sustainable attraction, spreading Vietnamese values to international friends. The Miss World 2026 journey takes place from August 8 to September 5, passing through land rich in Vietnamese heritage including Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Khanh Hoa.
