Hanoi tourism earns VND73,000 billion in the first 7 months of the year

The Hanoi tourism industry is estimated to welcome 18.36 million visitors, earning VND73,000 billion in the first 7 months of 2025.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism informed on July 25 that the total number of tourists to Hanoi in July 2025 is estimated at 2.8 million, an increase of 10.3% over the same period in 2024.

International tourists are estimated to reach 553,190 visitors, an increase of 25.2% over the same period in 2024 (including 390,000 international tourists staying); domestic tourists are estimated to reach 2.25 million visitors, an increase of 7.1% over the same period in 2024.

Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND10.68 trillion, up 13.9% over the same period in 2024. The average room occupancy rate of the hotel block is estimated at 56.94%.

In the first 7 months of 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi is estimated at 18.36 million, an increase of 11.6% over the same period in 2024. International tourists are estimated to reach 4.21 million visitors, an increase of 22.3% over the same period in 2024 (including 2.97 million international tourists staying), domestic tourists are estimated to reach 14.15 million visitors, an increase of 8.7% over the same period in 2024.

Total revenue from tourists in the first 7 months is estimated at VND 73,000 billion, up 14.5% over the same period in 2024.

It is expected that the capital's tourism industry will continue to attract visitors through a series of events towards the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that the capital's tourism industry has prepared very early to be able to launch new products, as well as ensure the quality of services at accommodation facilities.

To welcome a large number of tourists to the capital during the upcoming A80 anniversary, the Hanoi Department of Tourism has directed units and businesses to improve the quality of tourism products and upgrade accommodation facilities, especially those in the city center.

According to statistics from the online travel booking platform Agoda and Booking.com, Hanoi leads the travel trend during the National Day holiday on September 2.

Travel agencies also recorded a similar trend, when many tourists were interested in Hanoi and wanted to participate in activities to celebrate the A80 festival, especially the large-scale parade program.
