To end the situation of disputes over the order of actor names (also known as "position disputes") that have occurred continuously in the entertainment industry in recent years, the China Broadcasting Corporation has just issued new regulations.
Accordingly, from July 10, all TV series broadcast must record actors' names with real names and arrange them in the order of number of lines (names with few lines arranged first), instead of ranking by popularity or position.
This policy aims to reduce verbal battles between fans about the order of actors' names. However, when some major film platforms took the lead in applying the regulation, this "uniform" arrangement caused the fan community (in Chinese showbiz, it is " hậu viện hội") of many A-list stars to be indignant and simultaneously speak out to protect the rights of idols.
Among the first cases affected is Duong Mich's new movie "Giang Son Dai Dong". This is originally a movie starring Duong Mich.
However, according to the new regulations, due to arranging according to the number of lines of her real name, Duong Mich was ranked behind the male lead Luu Hoc Nghia. This immediately angered fans.
Duong Mich's fan community issued a protest statement, requesting the film crew to write Duong Mich as the only "main actress" and in subsequent promotional activities to prioritize releasing her personal images and materials first. Otherwise, they will stop all support activities.

Not only Duong Mich, Duong Yen and Hoang Canh Du are also the ones who are "disadvantaged". In the new movie "Life at This Moment", Duong Yen, due to the rules of arranging names by number of lines, dropped to 5th place, even behind supporting actors such as Gulnazar, Zhou Zhuo, Zhang Xinye and Du Phi Hong.
Meanwhile, the male lead Hoang Canh Du, who played nearly 90% of the screen time of the movie "Doanh phong", also fell to 4th place, creating a difficult situation.
Before the mandatory regulations from management agencies, many film crews also find ways to "circumvent the law" to maintain the position of the main star.
Netizens discovered that some film crews apply the method of separating each main actor by a line, each line only recording the name of a big star to avoid having to rank by number of lines.
However, this favoritism currently mainly appears in films with male actors playing the main roles such as Xiao Zhan in "Ten Years a Soldier", Cung Tuan in "Fluong Vu Cuu Thien" and Wu Lei in "Kiếm lai".
On the female actress's side, only Cuc Tinh Y with the movie "World of Flowers" enjoys a similar naming method. This makes many netizens think that the new regulation seems to be unintentionally overshadowing the position of female actresses.
In addition, the new regulation requiring the use of real names on the identity papers of artists also unintentionally sparked many discussions and misunderstandings online.
Duong Tu, who just won the Bach Ngoc Lan Empress title, was suddenly questioned by some netizens why she did not reuse her birth name Duong Nghe Ao.
Fans later explained that she had completed legal procedures to change her name on her ID card and all papers to Duong Tu since she was in elementary school.
