On May 9, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center announced the temporary postponement of fireworks simulation activities in Ky Dai every Saturday night. The unit said that it is reviewing the script, technical equipment and related factors to ensure the safety and quality of the program.
Previously, on the evening of May 3, during the second fireworks display in Ky Dai, many fireworks fell outside the safe area, causing panic among residents and tourists. The Hue Monuments Conservation Center has explained that the incident is due to technical problems and committed to fixing it, while temporarily suspending operations for review and improvement.
The People's Committee of Hue City and relevant agencies have requested the Center to coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports, the Police and the Hue City Military Command to inspect, verify and handle according to the provisions of law.
The Hue Monuments Conservation Center affirmed that it will announce specifically the time of resuming the organization after completing the preparation work and hopes to receive sympathy from the community.
Earlier, as laborers informed, on the evening of 3.5, in the second firing of gunfire magic guns at Ky Dai - Ngo Mon Square (Hue City), many artillery pills after shooting were flying over the moat, falling to Phu Van campus - the place where crowded people and tourists monitored.
It is worth mentioning that when they fell, many firecrackers were still bright red, falling close to people, including many children, causing many people to panic and run away.
After the incident, the representative of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center explained, with the desire to bring new and attractive experiences to serve the people and tourists, the Center has studied the reorganization of cannon simulation activities on the Hue station, replacing the system of old guns spraying old oil with new fire, more friendly to the environment, does not cause dust and fresh space for the audience.
After the incident, the Department of Culture, Family and Library - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent a document to the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City to check, verify information and handle according to authority the organization of fireworks displays in Hue.
