On August 18, Jennie's company OA Entertainment issued an official announcement on social networks.
The company said that recently they have continuously discovered many acts such as "spreading unfounded criticisms and false information about artist Jennie, as well as intentionally editing images and videos of artists or posting and disseminating them in forms that infringe upon the privacy and personal rights of artists".
OA Entertainment announced that the company is coordinating with professional legal representatives to continue monitoring related posts and accounts, collect evidence, and take both civil and criminal legal measures against cases of serious infringement of artists' rights and interests.
In particular, the company emphasized: "For acts of intentionally editing or recycling the appearance of artists in a malicious direction; continuously posting, reposting or disseminating certain scenes in photos or videos; or posting and disseminating content combined with offensive expressions or false information, we will proactively implement necessary legal measures depending on the content and severity of each case.
OA Entertainment expressed a tough attitude: "We would like to clearly affirm that there will be no agreement or leniency in this process.
Previously, on August 14, Jennie appeared on the stage of "Summer Sonic Tokyo 2026" - one of Japan's major music festivals, held at the Tokyo Mountain Stage. The female singer performed in a Calvin Klein outfit.
