On the occasion of National Day 2.9 this year, the domestic and foreign tourism markets recorded an increase in the number of tour bookers compared to the same period last year.
Many businesses recorded an "explosive" demand for domestic tourism, while foreign tours still maintained a stable attraction.
A representative of Viet Lich Company said that the total number of tour subscribers is estimated to increase by 15%, of which domestic tours are leading the series of events celebrating the 80th Anniversary of National Day, while outbound tours abroad remain stable with an increase of 10 - 20%, reaching more than 90% of the business plan a week before the holiday.

Domestic tourism dominated with more than 60% of total bookings. Northern routes, especially Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Ha Long, Sa Pa and Moc Chau, recorded a sharp increase in the number of visitors. Many tourists have been planning since June, leading to a situation of "sold out rooms" at central hotels in Hanoi. Some coastal routes such as Nha Trang, Da Nang and Quang Binh increased by 5 - 10%.
Tour outbound recorded the leading Asian market, with China and Thailand being the most popular, followed by South Korea, Taiwan (China) and Japan. The high-end segment such as Europe (France, Germany), the US and Australia is also of interest to family guests.
The prominent trend is short tours of 3 - 5 days, prioritizing quick visa or e-visa-free destinations, combined with shopping and family experiences.
The average outbound tour price ranges from 10 - 15 million VND/guest for a 3-5 day trip. For domestic tour, package tour prices increased slightly by 2 - 5% due to airfares and hotels, with a common price of 12 - 15 million VND/guest for the Northern route.

Following this trend, a representative of Benthanh Tourist Company said that on the occasion of September 2 this year, due to a 4-day holiday, short tour schedules dominated. Tourists prioritize cultural experiences and vacations for small groups such as family or friends.
In the country, attractive destinations include Hanoi, mountainous areas, and coastal - island destinations such as Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Phu Quoc and Da Nang. In the international market, Northeast Asia, especially China and Taiwan (China), is of great interest with a popular schedule of 4-6 days.
In addition to short-term tours during the holidays, this business also implements long-distance, high-end standard trips, notably Nordic and Southern European tours.
According to a representative of Vietluxtour Company, the most popular domestic tours in the fall, including the September 2 holiday, are Taiwan (China), China, Korea, Thailand, Europe, the US and Australia.
Newly developed Southeast Asian tours such as Cambodia and Laos have also begun to attract customers thanks to their short 4- to 5-day trips, with average tour prices. Autumn is the ideal time to explore these destinations thanks to its cool weather and beautiful scenery.
