This morning (June 29), on the shore of Ha Long Bay, the Joint Venture of Quang Ninh Waterway Passenger Transport JSC and Vietnam Landscape JSC organized the Opening Ceremony of the three-wall sailing experience product on Ha Long Bay.
This is not only the birth of a new tourism product, but also the return of an image that was once very familiar to the people of Quang Ninh coastal area - brown sails associated with memories of a time of livelihood and life of Quang Ninh fishermen.

Initially, there will be 6 three-wall sailboats put into service for tourists. These are traditional, unique boats of Quang Ninh fishermen, built at the workshop of sailing artisan Le Duc Chan, Lien Hoa ward, Quang Ninh province.
The three-walled boat is a traditional sailing boat with a history of hundreds of years, common in the Ha Nam island area (old Quang Yen). The structure of the boat is quite special, consisting of three planks combined (one bottom, two sides), using bat-winged sails dyed red-brown. Not only is it a means of livelihood, this is also a product of folk knowledge, showing the flexible adaptation of coastal residents to natural conditions.

The route runs along the coast of Ha Long Bay, from the Bai Tho bridge area, Hong Gai ward to the Quang Ninh Provincial Museum - Library area, Ha Long ward, in which the starting point is at the transport wharf area of Waterway Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company (Ha Long 1 market area, Hong Gai ward).
Regarding frequency, based on the assessment of sightseeing and tourism demand on the route, the fixed operating frequency is 6 trips/day, each trip is 1 hour.
The first flight departs at 8 am and the last flight departs at 5 pm.
Each boat each time carries a maximum of 12 passengers and 2 crew members.
Putting this type of boat into operation will create a highly promotional tourism product, helping tourists have more new experiences with appropriate time and reasonable costs.

According to a representative of the sailing tour operator, from this afternoon (June 29), the unit will officially open ticket sales to serve tourists, with ticket prices of 200,000 VND/turn for adults and 100,000 VND/turn for children from 1m-1.3m tall; free for children under 1m.
In the first weeks, ticket prices are expected to be reduced by about 30%.
Visitors can buy tickets directly at the ticket counter or book online at the website address: https://www.azure9.com.vn.
Also according to the unit operating the three-wall boat tour in Ha Long Bay, the boat will depart on time, even if there are not enough passengers. Tourists can also book a private boat and can depart at the time they want.
Initially, the unit will arrange other vehicles to accompany sailboats to support photography if tourists have needs.
