At the workshop "Current situation and solutions to preserve and promote traditional Vietnamese art values in the context of developing a market economy and integrating internationally", Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education - highly appreciated the popularity of the MV "Bac Bling" (Hoa Minzy).
He said that we are currently in favorable conditions for the development of traditional culture and art. However, in that wonderful atmosphere, we need to anticipate the challenges in protecting and promoting the values of traditional art.
At the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son raised a number of outstanding difficulties and challenges in the current era. Accordingly, he affirmed that the first challenge that traditional art is facing is human awareness.

"Traditional art is a particularly sophisticated area of culture. In addition, we must also deal with it in a particularly delicate way. Traditional art is both art and heritage. If we act in an artistic way, there will be inheritance deviations. If we only act in the direction of heritage, our creativity will be tied down," said Mr. Bui Hoai Son.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son, we must see this traditional art form in a market economy and international integration. That is, it is necessary to both follow the rules of the market economy (demand - demand, competition...), and follow international trends. At the same time, we must also preserve the exceptional nature of traditional art.
The second challenge is to create a legal corridor and a favorable environment for traditional artistic activities.
At the same time, traditional arts also face competitive challenges in the digital age. Mr. Bui Hoai Son mentioned learning about traditional art in the digital space. Adaptation helps us create new development space for traditional arts, avoiding other competitions.
Fourth is the challenge of competing with other art forms.
"Thinking about traditional art, we will also think about other types of entertainment art. They are both competitors, opponents, and subjects that we can cooperate with.
From Hoa Minzy's story, we see that if there is cooperation, to create new vitality for traditional art through creativity, new materials, new appeal... then we will have more development and interest in traditional art", said Mr. Bui Hoai Son.
Finally, Mr. Bui Hoai Son said that it is necessary to develop with new creativity, new elements... to form a sustainable market for traditional arts.
Associate Professor, Dr. commented: "If we do not form a sustainable market for traditional arts, we will not create the interest of the audience, especially young audiences in traditional arts. We not only do not create the attention of Party and State leaders, of different fields to the traditional market, but also do not have the enthusiasm, excitement, determination... of artists and theaters for traditional arts".
