People's Police Cinema in 2025 won big with "Death Battle in the Air". The film is directed by Ham Tran, winning revenue of over 200 billion VND.
In 2026, "taking advantage of the victory", People's Police Cinema simultaneously announced 2 projects "Indus Indian Code" and "Saigon Female Commando". Both film works are expected to be released in theaters on April 30, 2027.
On the afternoon of May 5, the crew of "Mật mã Đông Dương" had its premiere in Hanoi. The cast participating in the film included Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, NSND Trung Anh, Doan Quoc Dam, Quang Tuan, Tram Anh...
According to the introduction from representatives of People's Police Cinema, the film's script was conceived from intelligence files, stories, and the fates of many real agents.
The film is set in 1960. The story revolves around the character Tran Thang - a Vietnamese police soldier operating deep within the enemy's security apparatus in Laos.
To fulfill his mission, he is forced to trade his true identity, relationships, and the safety of himself and his family. In a world where no one really trusts anyone, like a "forest of information hunting", Tran Thang must follow the trail of an invisible "ghost" manipulating dangerous warfare strategies in the Vietnam battlefield and the entire Indochina.

Lieutenant General Do Trieu Phong - Director of the Public Security Communications Department shared: "In the stages of the resistance war to protect the Fatherland, the Vietnamese intelligence force played a particularly important role. Those are officers and soldiers who silently operate in the enemy's heart, grasp the situation, use their talents to collect and analyze information, contributing to serving strategic decisions.
Each declassified spy file is not only historical material, but also a testament to the intelligence, bravery, loyalty and silent sacrifice of generations of Vietnamese officers and soldiers. Bringing those stories to the public in cinematic language is a journey of gratitude to the people who have lived, fought and sacrificed for the Fatherland.
Before the question about the level of investment for the film project "Indochina Code", Lieutenant Colonel Tran Nam Chung - Director of People's Police Cinema said, "The level of investment for the film cannot be calculated in money". However, it is known that the film is a key project with the highest budget group today.
The film will be filmed in 6 provinces of Vietnam and 3 provinces of Laos.
Casts such as Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc or Tram Anh all affirmed that they are proud to participate in this project of People's Police Cinema.
This is a film project marking Lan Ngoc's return to the screen after 4 years of absence since the movie "The Girl from the Past" in 2022.
In the past 4 years, Lan Ngoc has been repeatedly accused of being too engrossed in playing gameshows, not investing in acting even though her main profession is acting.
