According to an announcement from Weibo, the female screenwriter's account has posted many contents related to the change of screenwriter of the movie project "Mac Ly". Through verification, this platform believes that Mong Ky Ky has used personal influence to spread unfounded information, leading public opinion, causing confrontation between network user groups.
Weibo believes that this behavior not only affects the honor and rights of related individuals but also leads to many attacking comments, causing disorder in the online environment. Therefore, the platform decided to apply the form of speaking ban to Mong Ky Ky's account.
Previously, on June 16, the female screenwriter posted a public apology sent to Bach Loc. She admitted that previous predictions about the actress being involved in the change of the screenwriting team of "Mac Ly" were inaccurate.
Mong Ky Ky said that due to being affected by the controversies that had occurred with the "Phuong Tu Hoang" project in the past, plus information related to the film crew's working process, she believed that the change of screenwriter was related to Bach Loc. However, after verifying from many sources, she confirmed that the actress was not related to the incident.
Sincerely apologize to Bach Loc for the inconvenience and unnecessary impacts," Mong Ky Ky wrote.
The source of controversy began on June 10 when Mong Ky Ky continuously posted on Weibo, accusing Bach Loc of taking advantage of her star status to change the screenwriting team of the "Mac Ly" project right before the start of filming. She also questioned the power of actors in film crews and said that the project was operated around the female lead.
These statements quickly sparked debate on social media about whether actors are holding too much decision-making power over TV series projects or not.
However, immediately after that, many related parties spoke out to deny it.
Screenwriter Ly Tong Than - who is currently in charge of the script for "Mac Ly" - affirmed that the content Mong Ky Ky gave is not true. He said that the current team does not use any script parts from the scriptwriting group that Mong Ky Ky mentioned.
Meanwhile, famous producer and screenwriter Yu Zheng also publicly revealed the dialogue to refute the accusations. According to Yu Zheng, Bai Lu had never participated in editing or discussing the script of the project. The change of screenwriter was a professional decision of the producer because the old script did not meet the requirements of the project.
Notably, the original screenwriter of "Mac Ly" Phong Nhiem Bach also posted a written explanation. This person affirmed that he had never provided information to Mong Ky Ky and denied any dispute over remuneration or the right to write the author's name with the production side.
The incident closed when Mong Ky Ky publicly apologized, and Weibo issued a penalty for her account. The incident also became a topic of wide discussion in the Chinese entertainment industry, revolving around the responsibility of spokespersons of influential people on social networks as well as rumors related to film projects under production.
