On September 29, the People's Committee of Cua Lo Ward (Nghe An) said that due to storm No. 10, the entire area had 845 houses with roofs blown off, with corrugated iron and leaking with a total area of over 12,600m2.
The ward People's Committee headquarters also had its 550m2 roof blown off and a 100m2 fence collapsed. Binh Minh Square area - a tourist highlight - was damaged by waves of nearly 1,000m2.

The education system suffered heavy damage: more than 3,100m2 of school roofs, from primary, secondary to preschool, were blown away by the storm. In particular, Thu Thuy Primary School blown off the roof of 490m2, Hai Hoa Secondary School 820m2, many other schools were damaged from 100 to 300m2.
The storm also caused localized flooding in 821 households, damaging many household appliances. A series of central roads such as Binh Minh, Nguyen Hue, Yet Kieu, Nguyen Xien were flooded from 60-80cm, paralyzing traffic. About 5 hectares of vegetables and 5,000m2 of greenhouses were damaged.

Trees were uprooted, corrugated iron roofs were floating everywhere, the power system was severely damaged with 128 domestic power poles broken, 38 tilted poles; 9 medium-voltage power poles broken. In particular, the decorative and lighting system at Binh Minh Square had 31 broken poles.
Despite the heavy property damage, fortunately no human casualties were recorded. All 249 boats with 275 fishermen have entered safe shelters.
On the afternoon of September 29, authorities and people were mobilized to overcome the consequences, prune trees, clear streets, clean up corrugated iron roofs and fences, and support people in repairing their houses.

Mr. Cao Minh Tu - Chairman of Cua Lo Ward People's Committee said that immediately after the storm, all local forces were mobilized, coordinating with the police, army, and border guards to urgently clean up fallen trees and clear blocked roads.
The immediate priority is to ensure the safety of people's lives, stabilize traffic, support households with unroofed roofs, collapsed fences, damaged schools and public offices.
The ward is making detailed statistics on damage to recommend the city and the province to have timely support plans for the people, helping people soon stabilize their lives and restore production.
