On the evening of September 28, during the first performance of the play " whose soul is kept" at the IDECAF stage (HCMC), Meritorious Artist Dai Nghia encountered a regrettable incident that caused the performance to be temporarily suspended halfway. While playing Hai To, an important character in the play, the male artist suddenly slipped and fell due to stagnant water from the smoke extractor, making the stage slippery. The strong fall caused him to lose his shoulder and had to be hospitalized for emergency care amid concerns from his colleagues and the audience.
Immediately, artist Dinh Toan - IDECAF representative announced the temporary suspension of the performance, apologized to the audience and pledged to change or refund the tickets. The unexpected incident made many people present worried about Dai Nghia's health, and at the same time expressed sympathy and shared with the organizers.
Dai Nghia was then taken to the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital for examination. Fortunately, his condition has stabilized.
Although he was still in pain after the accident, on the afternoon of September 29, the male artist reassured fans with sincere sharing: "It's okay, I sincerely thank everyone for their attention and visitation. Nghia is very sorry and apologizes for making a mess on a weekend evening for the audience. Let's meet again in a few days."
According to the representative of IDECAF Theater, the next performances will still be maintained to serve the audience, however, some strong physical scenes of Dai Nghia will be adjusted to ensure safety for health. He also expressed his desire to return to the stage soon, continue to contribute to art and not disappoint the love of the audience.
Before Dai Nghia, IDECAF stage witnessed unfortunate incidents such as the case of Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc falling in the play "The Blue Forest Boy", leading to serious injuries and long-term treatment.
