Hello Bao Ngoc. You have gone an admirable journey - from a young girl to Miss Intercontinental, becoming an example of beauty, intelligence and social responsibility through meaningful community campaigns. harmonizing a gorgeous beauty image with an intellectual example is not easy. How have you faced those prejudices, and how can you prove that intellectual beauty can go hand in hand with beauty titles?
- There will certainly be prejudices, I have heard many people say that Miss and Runner-up are just mobile vases, but in fact I have never considered myself just a beauty queen.
Before becoming Miss, I was a student, a young person with the desire to contribute good things to society. And when I won the Miss title, I thought it was one of the stepping steps to help me achieve my goal faster. I think there will always be barriers on each person's journey, but to move forward, we need to turn those barriers into motivation.
The prejudices and limits that people set, we can completely break out of them and the important thing is that we are steadfast in the goals we have set. When you have determined your goals, prejudices, challenges or difficulties are ultimately just rocks on the journey.
I have followed Bao Ngoc's long journey, he always emphasizes the importance of knowledge, dedication in the journey of self-development and inspiration to young people. In your opinion, how can these values become a guideline for the younger generation, especially in the age when everything changes rapidly as it is today?
- Previous generations have gone through a very long period of struggle to make us now have freedom, independence and happiness. Therefore, I always believe that young people enjoy peace and have very favorable conditions for development, we must always aim to contribute to the country's further development.
Each person cannot only focus on their personal life but should understand that we are living in a society and everything is interacted with each other, so all of our actions will be towards a common future.
I think the advantage of young people is the desire, ambition and the passionate, passionate fire. Let's use those things to pursue greater values, towards good things, that are your contributions to society. I believe that the young generation of now and in the future is a generation of dedication, of great values, of breakthroughs out of all barriers and I hope that you will pursue those values with all your heart and compassion.
Speaking about dedication, you can see that you have participated in many meaningful community activities, inspiring learning, environmental protection... If there is a project that you are implementing to help the young generation of Vietnam go further, what will it be like?
- The program I am working on now is "Gen Zero - Youth for Sustainable Development". The name "Gen Zero" is inspired by "Generation Zero" which means a generation towards net zero emissions. This is a project I have cherished for a long time, I hope "Gen Zero" will be a place to focus on connecting generations of young people with sustainable development goals, especially the goal of urgent action to combat climate change. Especially when Vietnam is entering a period of strong innovation with continuously updated policies on environmental issues, climate and sustainable development, young people like me or you should also understand and know about those issues and policies to understand the overall picture and gradually preserve and protect the environment such as protecting our common home.
A great project. Not only with community projects, you have also recently taken on the role of Executive Director of Miss World Vietnam. With the new position, what do you think I will do to further increase Vietnamese beauty in the international arena?
- With a new role at Miss World Vietnam, I can participate in the orientation work for the contestants. Of course, I will not have full right to decide because there is still an organizing committee and a judging committee, but I hope my opinion can help move towards greater, more lasting values. Not only in appearance, I hope the organizing committee will find a girl with inner strength and inner heart, a girl that we can be proud of that she is the representative of Vietnamese beauty competing in a prestigious contest like Miss World.

Miss World is known as the world's leading prestigious beauty pageant, do you hope that the Vietnamese representatives participating in this contest need to have what factors to both prove the mettle of Vietnamese women and spread Vietnamese culture in the international arena?
- Our country is going through a period of change and an era of growth. Therefore, I always hope that the girls representing Vietnam at Miss World will have a harmony between tradition and modernity. In addition, they themselves also need to have breakthroughs and courage to stand up to express what she believes is good for society.
I think finding a representative who is able to speak and communicate in front of the crowd like that means we have to find candidates who are truly dedicated, strong, always strive, improve themselves and think openly, dare to think, dare to do and dare to express themselves to strive for good things. That will help spread the image of modern Vietnamese women to international friends.
Thank you Miss Bao Ngoc for sharing!
